Abstract-In this paper, a design of Dispersion Compensating Fiber is presented which can compensate the dispersion and dispersion-slope of Conventional Single Mode Fiber over C- and L-Bands. The results of simulated profile shows that the presence of refractive index ring introduced at the cladding region enhances the fiber effective area, that is obtained as more than 22Mm, which is about 40 % more than that of the pervious designed Deeply Depressed W-shaped Profiles. The calculated dispersion and dispersion slope are suitable for C- and L-bands.
